Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) now come in three different product plans. Whether your goal is higher education for your children or retirement for yourself, First National Bank has an IRA that will help make your dream a reality. Traditional
This Individual Retirement Account allows you to
defer taxes on your earnings until they
are withdrawn. Also, certain contributions are tax deductible in
the tax year for which they are made.
Roth
The Roth IRA is a nondeductible account
that features tax-free withdrawals for
certain distribution reasons after a five-year holding period. If
you expect that you will be in a higher tax bracket when you retire,
this account may be of greater benefit to you than the Traditional
account.
Education
The Coverdell Education Savings Account is a nondeductible account that features
tax-free withdrawals for a very specific purpose -- a child's higher education
expenses. Qualified higher education distributions from this account
are penalty free and tax free.
